All profits from apparel sales will go directly to the care of Chief Allen

A Message from Chief Miles Allen:

To my family, friends, and community,

For years, I’ve had the honor of serving as the Fire Chief for the Douglas County Fire/EMS department. Whether in the military or in the fire service, my life has been defined by a commitment to helping others. Today, I’m reaching out because I find myself in a position where I need to ask for a little help of my own.

I am currently living with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). This is a genetic condition that causes cysts to grow on the kidneys, eventually leading to kidney failure. To continue serving my family and this community for years to come, I am searching for a living kidney donor.

Why a Living Donor?

While I am on the national transplant list, the wait for a deceased donor can take many years. A transplant from a living donor typically offers the best long-term outcome and allows the transplant to happen much sooner.

How You Can Help

  • You don’t have to be a donor to make a difference! Here is how you can support me:

  • Spread the Word: Share this my story with your own networks. The more people who see this, the better the chance of finding a match.

  • Consider Testing: If you are in good health, you might be a candidate to donate. Living donors can live full, healthy lives with one kidney.

  • Keep the Support Coming: Your kind words and prayers mean the world to me and my family.
